Burns ‘The Marvin’ Electric Guitar - 1964 Edition.

I purchased this directly from Barry Gibson, as at the time in 2008 I was in the band the Foot Tappers. I have the receipt.

It was used in a number of well known gigs amongst the shadows fan community. Featuring briefly in Tilburg, Holland in 2008 at the shadows international gathering. Then, this guitar features again in 2008 at Bruce Welch’s Shadowmania. Where I played the guitar for a number of songs. If you watch the following video, it’s the first guitar to start playing during we are the champions (featuring Brian Licorice Locking who used to be in the original Shadows band).

Since I left the band in 2012, it has rarely seen the light of day. Safe in its case in my bedroom. It has been out to record a few YouTube videos in the last couple of years but that is all. Here are a few:

As regards condition. I have really looked after it. Annoyingly however, when we were in Holland, one of the stage hands managed to catch the paint work on the wall. Which I have photographed. The other imperfection happened at the same time. Fortunately, neither imperfection can be seen when playing to an audience. As a result of these imperfections I have lowered the price a little. But it plays perfectly, stays in tune, all knobs and switches fine. Comes with Jim Dunlop strap locks fitted for your guitar strap to keep it safely secured.

I have added a Walkaround video to YouTube so that you can see the condition of the guitar in more detail:
