 Hans Veit Maximilian Kaspar Graf zu Toerring-Jettenbach (born April 7, 1862 in Augsburg , † October 29, 1929 in Munich ) was a Bavarian politician.

Life 
Hans Veit III. zu Toerring -Jettenbach was the son of Count Clemens Maria zu Toerring-Jettenbach and his wife Franziska, née Countess von Paumgarten (born September 29, 1834, † December 7, 1894 in Munich). He married Duchess Sophie Adelheid in Bavaria on July 26, 1898 in Munich . Her children were Carl Theodor , Marie José Antonia Franziska Elisabeth Gabriele Gisela (born June 16, 1902 in Seefeld, † June 18, 1988 in Inning am Ammersee ) and Hans Heribert Wilhelm Veit Adolf (born December 25, 1903 in Winhöring , † 16. March 1977 in Murnau ). [1]

Hans Veit III. to Toerring-Jettenbach rejected one of Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria survey offered to the princes from. He was the spokesman for the opposition in the Chamber of Imperial Councils, which was considered liberal, and had a reputation for being a democrat. He represented a mature social policy , such as a program against the housing shortage in Munich, calling for collective agreements in agriculture and forestry . As an employer , he introduced exemplary unemployment insurance for his employees, for which he was nicknamed the red count .

In spring 1918 Toerring-Jettenbach contacted the Belgian government through the Belgian envoy in Bern Fernand Peltzer. In a letter dated August 23, 1918, State Secretary Paul von Hintze (AA) informed him that negotiations with the Belgian government were without substance. [2]

In the Weimar Republic , the continuation of existing noble titles was permitted as part of the name. In September 1921, after the resignation of Gustav von Kahr, the Bavarian People's Party offered him the office of Bavarian Prime Minister , which he refused. [3] In Schloss Seefeld he left in 1897 Gabriel von Seidl , the Orangerie on plan with arcades. After 1916 he had the valley of the Aubach meliorated . He left 16 fish ponds between Widdersberger Weiher and Pilsensee of which six are still used for fishing today
