The K-M GAD-A-BOUT Portable Electric Sad Iron w Cord was from the early 1930's, DECO Period Design. Comes with original AC electric cord. It was manufactured by the KNAPP MONARCH CO., St. Louis, MO. This was a great space saving portable sad iron to carry with you whenever you traveled because by flipping a small lever the handle would collapse flat against the sad iron base to place in your space saving travel bag. Measures 7-1/2" long by 3-3/4" wide. Embossed on the handle brace reads: "CAT. NO. 17-501, KNAPP MONARCH CO., ST. LOUIS, MO, 115 VOLT, 400 WATTS."
