Joe Palooka Fights His Way Back (Harvey 1945)
Graded CGC 9.6! Rare in census.

This is the first issue of a series that ran continuously until the 80's,
but the original Joe Palooka was created by Ham Fisher in 1930, and
ran in syndicated newspapers. This was an early Golden Age comic version.
Designed as a "give-away" to promote re-accommodation by veterans
coming back from WWII with injuries or deficits, Joe Palooka would serve
as an example of the "fight-back" attitude (Joe had a shoulder injury in the story),
that would lead to a complete recovery.

With the classic boxing cover (which incidentally included his injury in
a highlight bubble), its an amazing example of a clean, well-preserved
Golden Age classic, read by literally millions of veterans.
Low census numbers indicate these were well-read.
