old AREKA candies tin (France 1980s>90s.) given as a complimentary advertiser tin for a Hotel in Paris on the Champs Elysees called the CALIFORNIA  -  the Hotel California :) Size 4cm x 15mm.) looks like a 4 star hotel? has the address & phone number on the tin . you push the centre of the lid with thumb (swan) & the sides pop open , to close replace the lid & press the sides of the lid & it snaps shut , locked onto the base, an ingenious French design / invention. using the 'natural'  spring of the metal sheets used , an idea used in the early 1900s on French book tin lids (you can SEE a rare French book tin c1910 listed on this site - light blue colour.)
