A Diddley Bow is a one stringed instrument designed to be played with a slide or Bottle neck . This is a genuine instrument and sounds great when played , the face has an Isle Of Man TT design which has been applied and lacquered , the body top and bottom are birch and have been ebonised and varnished, the neck is solid Beech with a natural grain effect , an angle has been created on the headstock of the neck to allow correct tensioning of the string . Stainless steel fret markers have been fitted as a playing guide, the output jack is housed in the side of the body , the bridge is made from hardwood . The instrument is wired with a standard 1/4 inch guitar output and piezo pickup so will need to be plugged into an amp. To get the best sound . The neck has a machine head tuner in chrome . All the instruments are made by hand by Deadfinger in his workshop, This instrument has been built to be played and has a lovely tone or even can be used as a cool decoration .
