Culled from a wide range of religious personalities' views and explanations, spanning from the earliest Midrash (Around
200 A.D.) through the famous commentaries such as Rashi (Isaacides), Ramban (Nacmanides), Radak (David Kimhi), Ralbag (Gersonides) and culminating with the most famous commentators and expounders from the last two centuries up until very close to contemporary personalities, such as Rabbis Moses Feinstein and M. M. Schneerson. It will give the uninitiated an especially fascinating and eye-opening panoramic view of this very long biblical tradition. The set is split up according to the 50 or so sections which the Torah is divided into in accordance with the standard Jewish custom of reading the entire Torah in the synagogue out loud every week of the 50 week yearly Jewish calendar. So each week's portion has a name (The name is usually the first meaningful word of that weeks portion) and then in this book the ideas for that week are split up into 7 days, so that you can adhere to the calendar by doing a set portion every day. The idea is that at the end of the year you will have completed the entire Pentateuch and become pretty much a savant and very familiar with this creative way of thinking about the Bible.
Condition: These volumes are in very nice condition, a few volumes with slight usage, but most volumes are in LikeNew condition. As shown they each have a matching name at edge of cover which is inconspicuous and a few have a small label on blank page. There is no writing or defacement to any volume's interior. The covers are all beautiful but one has some markings on it. The binding is excellent in all volumes and they all have bright white pages.
