 You're looking at a very high quality AKG dynamic hyper cardioid microphone from the 1990's era called the D3700S model which was one of three models offered in that series. The others were the 3800, 3900 & 5900 models as seen in pic # 2 in an older AKG catalog that I have showing all the basic characteristics.

 The D3700S has a beautiful warm tone with a great frequency response that would rival any quality dynamic cardioid mic out there. The D3700S also has a very unique design being both sleek, elegant and modern. The flat black finish also give the mic a little bit of aggression as well.

 I would compare the tone of this mic to the Electro Voice 635A but instead of being omni-directional it's a Hyper Cardioid pattern.

 I really like the look of this mic and to my knowledge they are very rugged and seem to last forever as I haven't come across a non-working example yet but these do need refurbishing when it comes to the inner pop filters. I replace any that have gone bad but I didn't have to have this done on this mic.

 This D3700S is an all metal design and very lite weight being easy to hold for prolonged periods of time though it can be placed in the mic clip provided. The mic is appx 7 1/4 inches long X 1 3/4 inches across at the tip. The on / off switch works great on this mic.

 The physical condition of this mic in quite nice. It does have a few lite scratches here and there but overall very nice. The front screen is perfect with zero odors or dents. Very minor paint loss. I'm also including a new exterior black foam pop filter for even better sound characteristics. You'll notice a slight improvement when it's on the mic and it fits very well. I'd rate this mic a conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking.

 The mic clip is an Audio Technica model but works perfect for this D3700S that grips the mic firmly and just as nice as the mic. The clip will screw onto any stand you have as well. It provides a wide degree of tilt up and down and really compliments the D3700S.
