This is the most unusual book I have ever seen.  You would think by the cover that it would be a children's book, but as you can see from some of the more unusual illustrations, it is a bit creepy.

It is in poor condition.  The binding is coming apart and the pages are water stained and torn.  I'm selling this more because of the unusual illustrations.  There are 200 illustrations.  There is an illustration and narrative on each page.  Some are perfectly normal - describing a bird or some other animal and some just seem really strange to me.

The book is 10" x 8" x 1 1/4" thick.

It does have the "old age" smell to it.

This edition was published in 1896.  The original publication was first published in 1878.
