Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a 1970's era AKG model D320B dynamic "hyper" cardioid microphone made in Austria with outstanding sound characteristics and easily on par with most great dynamic super cardioid microphones you could possibly think of. I would actually compare the sound to be on par with (or better than) the American made Shure SM58 or as good as an Electro voice RE16 microphone. If you have never heard one of these before...be prepared to be blown away by the warm smooth tone.

This mic comes with the mic clip and case shown.

Pic # 2 is from an old AKG catalog showing this model in a couple different variants. The D330BT had a few more built in adjustments then the D320B. The D320B has the adjustable bass drop off switch with 3 selections to choose from and it works perfectly.

Pic # 3 shows the band ABBA using a few of these model mics.

The AKG mics were almost always very high quality and known for their durability and superb sound.

As you can see there is virtually no wear on the finish of this mic and it's free of any dents or fractures. The front screen is metal and has an uber modern / contemporary look. There is no tarnish but just one very subtle dent on the front screen. I did add a new inner pop filter as the original was all but missing. This mic comes with a bass roll off switch on the handle as seen in pic # 9. You can get more or less bass depending on your needs with the flick of a switch and there are 3 settings.

The mic is uni-directional and is great at cancelling out any background noise. Again...a superb mic for any live performance and worth every penny.

The mic comes with an AKG mic clip that works very well for this mic and looks fantastic. The clip grips the mic perfectly and really compliments the look of the mic. It will screw onto any desk or floor stand and has a wide range of tilt up or down.

The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is not provided but very easy to acquire.

The original mic case is included and in good overall shape with typical wear.

MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

Overall I would rate this mic a 9 cosmetically speaking on a scale of 1 - 10. The real beauty of this mic is the sound it produces and I would recommend actually using this piece rather than for display. She's got plenty of life left in her.

As with all my vintage microphone and related items...
