This early 20th century Boxing History print features two boxers James J. Jeffries and Jack Johnson, contestants for the world's championship, as published by the San Francisco Chronicle. In what was labelled as the "Battle of the Century" held at Reno, Nevada, Jack Johnson defeated James Jeffries to become the first African American Heavyweight Champion of the World, and held the title until 1915.
