Bombshell were a punk band from Gainesville, Florida and included Var Thelin, the founder of No Idea Records. Their song "Perspectives" was included on the comp. CD "Big Pants Waste Precious Fabric" which came with No Idea Fanzine #11 in 1995. Other recordings included split 7"s with Spoke & Less Than Jake in 1993 as well as with Shades Apart & Doc Hopper in 1994. Bombshell's self-titled album came out in 1993 and gained favourable comparisons to Spoke, Sparkmarker and Dogs On Ice as well as other early '90s Gainesville area bands. The album is also notable for a cover of "The Devil Made Me Do It", a song originally recorded by hardcore rapper Paris in 1990 and subsequently banned from MTV.
