Antique Tintype Photograph Victorian Boy In Suit w Paper Mat Clarks Indianapolis

This antique tintype style metal photograph features a portrait style image of a somewhat annoyed looking young Victorian era boy wearing a suit and leaning against a period chair. It includes what appears to be the original paper display sleeve/folio which is quite worn and is marked in pencil "Charlie about 8 years" in addition to the photographer's information printed on the outside "CLARK'S NEW GALLERY. Over 12 and 14 West Washington St. Photographs and Gems, all Styles and Sizes. All the latest improvements known to the Art. Satisfaction Guaranteed."

I believe that Clark's Gallery was located at the corresponding address/block in Historic Downtown Indianapolis near right off of Monument Circle.  It will make a great  addition to your vintage or antique photography collection whether your focus is on turn-of-the Century fashion, Midwestern portraits or unintentionally creepy/spooky/ghostly photography. It does have quite a bit of wear including VERY HEAVY DENTING/WARPING/BENDING, scratches, rust, stains, the paper is torn/ripped/stained/missing pieces/dry rotted/falling apart and more so PLEASE read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Thank you and enjoy!
