This project targets new components for surface mount soldering. It helps you improve your skills in soldering resistors, capacitors, diodes and LEDs, transistors and IC chips. The kit includes an 85x54mm printed circuit board (PCB) and 126 surface mount electronic devices (SMD). A simple spinning light wheel project in the middle of the PCB gives you the opportunity to test your new learning skills.
The areas on the left and right sides of the PCB are used to practice soldering skills, while the central area houses a functional electronics with sequential flashing colored LEDs.
In the realm of practice, you can enhance your surface mount soldering experience with 78 components in four standard sizes (""1206"", ""0805"", ""0603"" and ""0402""). The board is Fitting for surface mount soldering techniques using soldering irons and fine solder wire, solder paste and hot air repair stations or even professional reflow ovens. If you have no previous experience soldering surface mount components, you can find many helpful how-to videos online. Each column of components in the practice area is connected to test pads on the bottom of the board, so a multimeter can be used to check that all connections are correct.
If the project area of the board is soldered correctly, you will have a rotating screen with 15 colored LEDs! There are 48 components in the project. A detailed instruction sheet is available in English. After soldering, simply connect a battery or other DC voltage (not provided) between 4V and 12V to the power input pad to activate the swivel.
