This exquisite painting by Edith Sowersby is really  the essence of nature and beauty. The art piece is a delightful combination of orange and red flowers surrounded by green vines all within a blue vase. The vibrant colors and intricate details of the painting are a testament to the artist's skill. The painting is oil on board, so there is a bit of texture and depth with the imposto of paint to the flowers and vines. This painting would be the perfect addition to any art collector's collection, and it would add a touch of elegance to any room for sure.

The painting was created by Edith Lavina Sowersby (1875 - 1959), an artist active in California, Canada, and Michigan. She painted desert scenes, florals, landscapes, and seascapes. She also used photography as a medium.

The condition of this painting is fair to good. Maybe a bit of light discoloration between the right side of the painting and the left. This could also be a touch by the artist just using the light. Also, there is a scratch in the vase that you can see in the pictures. With a bit of cleaning and detail by a conservator....this painting would be absolutely wonderful.

The oil on board is 12x16.
