The subject of the offer is the repair and servicing of your rotary and slider potentiometers, dual-section.

I believe many people face this issue. In 40-50-year-old amplifiers, tuners, a common problem is crackling potentiometers and switches. The same applies to turntables. In turntables, dirty potentiometers can cause speed fluctuations. Many people try to resolve this by using sprays like "Deoxit." However, only a few know the unwanted consequences this can have. It may help temporarily, but after a few weeks or months, the issue returns. "Deoxit" sprays wash away the lubricants inside the potentiometers. As a result, the potentiometer or switch loses its "slowing" effect and can wear out.

I propose an alternative, which involves disassembling and thoroughly cleaning the potentiometer or switch. I use various types of lubricants to slow down the components, protect electrical contacts, and special cleaning agents for resistive tracks, silver-plated, and gold-plated contacts. I have selected these substances over the course of several years.

I've recorded a video on this topic. It's lengthy, but I highly recommend watching it. In the first part, I clean the switches, and in the second hour, I dismantle and clean sample potentiometers. A properly cleaned potentiometer or switch will continue to work for another 40-50 years.

Often, we have very rare and valuable devices. It's worth dedicating some care to their repair because future generations may also benefit from them. The number of amplifiers, turntables, and tuners is decreasing, and no one will produce them anymore.

This offer is for the repair of one of your potentiometer. Before purchasing the offer, please send me a photo of the switch. Sometimes switches can be very complex, and I may need to determine a different price for you. You will need to desolder and send me your switch. When the switch reaches me, I will need a few days for its repair. Then I will send it back to you.

I have other offers on eBay regarding the repair of potentiometers. Here are the links:

If you have more than one switch or potentiometer to repair, please contact me. The price will be better. For example, if you want me to repair all the switches and potentiometers for your entire amplifier or turntable.

If you are a technician and repair many devices, please also contact me. If you have many switches and potentiometers to repair, we can negotiate a price for you.

The shipping cost from me to you is included in the price. You will need to send the potentiometer to me at your own expense. I do not sell the potentiometers and switches from the photos. The offer only includes the repair of your potentiometer.
