Captain KATSEVMAN ARKADY BORISOVICH, born December 10, 1919, place of birth - Moldavian SSR, Dubossary district, Dubossary, Jew. Drafted into the Red Army by the Koganovichi RVC, Odessa, Ukrainian SSR, 12/10/1939. Personnel officer. In the Great Patriotic War from June 25, 1941 (on the Moscow defense zone, Volkhov, Leningrad, 2 Belarusian fronts), positions: 1. Platoon commander; Deputy company commander of the 64th separate motorized pontoon-bridge battalion, Moscow defense zone; 2. Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations of the 18th Tank Regiment, 47th Separate Mechanized Dukhovshchinsky Red Banner Order of Suvorov Brigade, 5th Guards Tank Army, 2nd Belorussian Front. Wounded: 4 times (2 - seriously; 2 - slightly). Military awards: Order of the PATRIOTIC WAR, 1st class (From the AWARD LIST for the Order of the RED BANNER: "During the period of hostilities, from January 16 to February 5, 1945, Comrade KATSEVMAN showed exceptional courage and heroism, the ability to accurately implement the commander’s decision, in the most difficult battle conditions. He led the advanced NP, clearly carried out the interaction of tanks with infantry. In battles , for the cities of NAIDENBURG and ELBING, Comrade KATSEVMAN, personally led units into the attack.In this case, 2 tanks, 1 artillery battery and more than 150 enemy soldiers and officers were destroyed. On January 30, 1945, he was wounded in the head by a shrapnel, but did not leave the battlefield and continued to fight the enemy to this day. Comrade KATSEVMAN is worthy of the Government award of the Order of the RED Banner.
