An inscription in ink to the back of the illustration page.  Very minimal foxing mostly to blank pages and illustrations pages of which there are two.  
This book has been rebound. The original cover can be seen in the photograph which I have uploaded which also describes the points which make this a 1st routledge edition of this double volume series.  Title page dated 1876 with catalogue page at the back dated 1875. 

The interior is mostly clean and holding together well with possible original titles in gilt being used for the front cover and spine.
