The HiFonics HFC2000 buffer capacitor provides a more constant power supply, sound improvement and better bass performance for the amplifier. With a nominal capacity of 2.0 Farads, it absorbs unwanted voltage fluctuations and stabilizes the entire sound system.

POSSIBLE USES

The buffer capacitor is used in motor vehicles to stabilize and support the power supply of an amplifier when it requires high currents quickly and for a short time.

It can compensate for short-term loads on the on-board voltages, for example when there are particularly deep, powerful bass sounds.

The use of the buffer capacitor results in significantly better performance of the amplifier.

Car audio amplifiers require high currents for optimal operation.

Conventional vehicle batteries are usually not designed to provide additional power to an amplifier.

Another advantage of the buffer capacitor is the filtering of alternating voltages that are induced in the amplifier's power supply.

Unfiltered AC voltages can cause audible interference.

ASSEMBLY

For best results, the capacitor should be installed as close to the power amplifier as possible.

The cables between the capacitor and the power amplifier should be as short as possible and have as large a cross-section as possible.

The cables must be laid in such a way that their insulation is not damaged during installation and operation.

1.) Use the enclosed holders to screw the capacitor firmly into a mechanically stable place.

Never mount the device on surfaces subject to strong vibrations, such as a subwoofer enclosure.
