The Gay Nineties: 8 Drawings of Performers by Tolouse-Lautrec - Interpretations in Silk Screen by the Pied Piper Press.

A very rare portfolio of silkscreen 8 prints done after the original the famous drawings that Henri de Tolouse-Lautrec made in the 1890s. The prints were made by the Pied Piper Press of 225 Lafayette Street in New York City. The book is undated, but likely was made in the 1950s.

Each black sheet measures 9 x12 inches, and the color print is mounted to the sheet. The sheets are loosely housed in a printed folder, as issued.

Prints in Near Fine condition with virtually no issues; the folder in good condition with splitting down the spine and fading to the spine and along the edges too.

Not much info is available on the Pied Piper Press, and zero copies of this book are located in the OCLC database. It seems that the press made these as a promotional item to show off their new capabilities.
