VINTAGE RIDGWAY POTTERIES, 'HOMEMAKER' PATTERN, 8" DESSERT / SALAD PLATES.

Size: approx. 20.3cm diameter (nominally 8" plate)

Without doubt the epitome of 1950’s ceramics, Homemaker was first made during the mid 1950’s solely for the Woolworths chain. The Enid Seeney design, for Ridgway Pottery, features a printed pattern depicting the then latest in design styles, including the iconic Robin Day recliner chair and Gordon Russell Ltd sideboard of the early 50’s.

A true design classic, and one of the most iconic and enduringly popular china patterns of the 20th century, the Homemaker style is seen here on the 8” Plate which features 8 design motifs.

A wonderful design still looking fresh and modern at over 60 years old!

All plates available are in excellent clean condition free of any chips, cracks or crazing.
There are just an absolute minimum of any light utensil marks to betray age/use.

For all you hardcore Homemaker collectors, please note all item titles, measurements and motif count info is cross referenced with the excellent Simon Moss Homemaker book, also a must for you budding collectors too - and no I’m not on commission, just passionate about Homemaker!

PLEASE NOTE PRICE SHOWN IS PER PLATE.
