1950-1953 original Black Felt Top Hat for Winston Churchill and Groom dolls. Additionally used on the 1933 Charles Dickens dolls. These were cloth and included David Copperfield.

In the first years of Hard Plastic doll production, Madame Alexander included a few male dolls in tux coat and tails. There was a model with elaborate eyebrows representing Winston Churchill. This model and several of the Grooms included a top hat. I couldn’t find any original catalog photos. I’ve borrowed several pics from theriault’s auctions.

Condition Issues: No unpleasant smells. No fading and no stains on garments. Please see photos for more details on condition.
