Description
Designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s. Original fibreglass weave shell in beautiful and very Turquoise blue or also known as Aqua blue, mounted on shockmounts and new walnut base. Original Herman Miller stamp on underside of shell.
The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.
This chair can alternatively be supplied with an oak or American maple wood base, if you would prefer.
This is a grade B second with very slight flaws to the shells so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard chairs we sell. Nonetheless, they are perfectly useable and sound and are priced accordingly.
Please see photos for specific details as to condition. In particular:
small crack on the each side which has been repaired and some light discolouration.
