Ecuador 1865-72 Medio Real Ultramarine with 1863 Date Error Used. Scott 2

product image

Four margin, dark ultramarine shade displaying early plate wear. I cant make out the town but the date is clearly an incorrect 1863. Unusual.

Cut from the envelope with backing paper still remaining.

Descriptions:
I use large, high resolution images in all listings. All stamps are without faults unless specified above. Small (but important) details such as hinge remnants, toning etc will always be pointed out. And if you are not happy in any way, you can always return the item for a full refund.

I aim to make my descriptions as consistent and accurate as possible so that you know exactly what to expect. Descriptions used are:

MNH – mint not hinged, unmounted mint
VLM Mint – very lightly mounted mint. Immaculate gum with just a trace of a hinge mark
LM Mint – lightly mounted mint. Excellent gum. A fine quality stamp
M Mint – mounted mint. Notable evidence of hinging but still a large part original gum
MNG – mint no gum

Pricing and Print Volumes
Catalogue pricing for Latin America can be very inconsistent across the main publishers. For stamps with low print volumes I aim to show numbers printed where available to help you determine the relative scarcity.

Catalogue Numbers
Listings will always refer to Scott. However, I can provide the equivalent number in any other catalogue (Stanley Gibbons, Michel, Yvert, Sanabria or specialised) upon request.

Forgeries
All stamps are sold as genuine. Stamps known to be forged are checked against reference material prior to listing. If you have any concerns, please let me know. Stamps on album pages are unchecked.

Album Pages & Selections:
Stamps on album pages or selections have not been fully checked and are sold as seen. The reverse of the stamps will not have been inspected for gum, watermarks, perf variety or condition. Album pages may be carefully folded to keep postage costs down unless requested otherwise.

Payment Information:
Multiple purchases will always be consolidated to reduce postage costs.

Shipping Information:
All items are shipped by regular post as default. Tracked shipping can be chosen before checkout, if required. All stamps are sent from the UK via Royal Mail.

Unconditional Guarantee:
All stamps have an unconditional guarantee and can be returned for a full refund for whatever reason.

Questions?
Do please ask if you have any questions whatsoever. I am always happy to provide further information.
