toy soldiers 1970-now. Several of these pieces have flaws, but have been modified by me. I have added weapons and these figures for the most part look pretty good as well as unique.. Severely broken pieces have been used as injured or dead figures.
This scene pulls together some different episodes from the Civil War. Found in this set is the iconic building from Lees surrender. Also the large white house depicts buildings similar to those in this era. It is a very nice structure, quite beautiful..
General Lee was a proud General. He was very knowledgable in warfare. He had run circles around the Union troops mostly due to bad leadership . General Meade though was a different kind of leader for the Union. His leadership at Gettysburg is what the Union needed to win at Gettysburg. Lee lost a lot of his most capable leaders. 2 caissons carry cannons. And of course cannons had a big impact on battle success. Canister loads could take out 50 soldiers at one time.
