1. Description


 

This 2+2 3G-SDI with 4+4 XLR 1U RACK box are fiber optic serial digital video transmission units that offer the industry's broadest range of digital rates 3Gbps bandwidth while maintaining the signal quality that broadcasters demand. The Transmitter and Receiver support 4+4 XLR Audio.


The transmitter accepts a 75ohm BNC input and converts it into an optical stream via a standard ST connector.


The transmitter BNC include equalization and reclocker for long lengths of coaxial cable, so you can use them at nearly any point in your SDI chain.


The receiver unit reconverts the uncompressed signal back to BNC output.


The receiver include reclocker and cable driver for long lengths of optical link, support range 20KM/3Gbps MAX. fiber transfer, so you can use them at nearly any point in your SDI chain.


Both the transmitter and receiver modules include LED indicators to display Power On, SDI signal presence. The units support DC-12V 4pin XLR Power Supply.

5. Installation



  1. Connect the provided DC power supplies to the power socket of the transmitter and receiver

  2. Connect SDI cable between the SDI video source and the transmitter BNC input

  3. Connect SDI cable between the receiver BNC output and the SDI video monitor or SDI DVR

  4. Connect ST fiber between the transmitter and the receiver ST Receptacle



6. Notes


 


A. No video output and some one of the three LEDs not lighted

  • Please check the power supply if work

  • please check the video source if work

  • please check the coaxial cable BNCs if all tightened well

  • please check the ST fiber if inserted well


B. There is video display, but video flash

  • please check the video source format if right

  • please check the coaxial cable BNCs if all tightened well

  • please check the ST fiber if inserted well

  • this issue happens often when the ST end face is dirty

  • For long range application, please check the fiber transfer link-budget, if it is too long, the received optical signal is very weak, and may be out of receiver reclocker capacity and fail to recover the useful signals



7. Warranty

       The warranty time is three years and life-long maintenance. During this period, any belongs to under normal usage circumstance cause because of the product quality’s problem of breakdown, our company will be responsible for giving free maintain


 

Free maintain won’t be given under the following circumstance:

  • The malfunction and damaged caused by incorrect use, the unauthorized repairs and alteration

  • The damage caused by fire, flood, abnormal voltage, other natural disasters and secondary product damage

  • The product malfunction caused by not in accordance with the user manual operation

  • The malfunction and damaged caused by the other barriers(man-made factors or external device)
