FenderCustomShop is a section established in 1987 to produce the highest quality guitars under the Fender brand using old-fashioned handcrafts and advanced manufacturing techniques, using carefully selected materials from the wood purchased by Fender. This is a section that inherits the tradition and technology of Fender, which boasts a long history, and includes a lineup unique to a custom shop assembled by a limited number of staff, including models such as the Master Builder series, which are only one in the world. Based on a vintage guitar from 1967, this limited-edition model features CustomShop's signature improvements, and features a number of features that players looking to create a bold musical future will love. The carefully selected two-piece alder body is finished in JourneymaneRelic lacquer in AgedVintageWhite, FadedAgedBlueIceMetallic, or 3-ColorSunburst, all equipped with ClosetClassic hardware.
At our store, we got 3-Color Sunburst! This is a masterpiece with a great personality that reproduces just the right amount of color tan! The Journeyman Relic finish is not a finish that has been used extensively on stage, but rather reproduces the aging effect that has been carefully applied. The neck back is beautifully stripped! Although it is casual, it has a finish that is full of atmosphere! The weight is approximately 3.51kg. It has the perfect balance of being easy to use and producing a solid sound!
The straight-grained maple neck has a ?65C profile for smooth playability, parchment binding, 21 jumbo 6100 frets, and a 9.5-inch round lamb rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays.
The unique combination of a hand-wound Fat'64 Strat neck middle pickup with an RWRP middle pickup and a retrofitted Fender Shawbucker Zebra bridge pickup delivers pure Stratocaster tone. All pickups are mounted in 4-ply brown shell pickguards and wired with Postmodern StratHSS wiring.
