RARE AUTHENTIC 1970'S VINTAGE BURBERRY'S KHAKI GREEN LONG TRENCHCOAT SIZE 14/16

With trench coats on-trend this winter, now is the time to buy a super stylish classic.

I am selling a beautiful vintage Burberry trench coat in first-class condition.

It is the traditional showerproof gaberdine, with the famous classic ‘Haymarket’ check lining, and all its original buckles and buttons.

100% authentic - I bought this myself from their flagship Haymarket store in the early 1970’s.

They were then called ‘Burberry’s’ as the label shows.

It was made to order and so, (as was their custom then), my initials are embroidered on the neck label.

As it was an order, there is no marked size, but see measurements below. It is about a UK 14/16.

In the 1970’s, Burberry women’s trench coats were usually a shorter length and more commonly in the honey beige colour, but I wanted the more authentic, original (and much more flattering) military khaki green and the longer length. (This colour is hard to photograph accurately so sorry for any variation in the pictures. It is a stylish pale khaki green). If you know Burberry, you will know it.

There is a tiny spot on the lining and a small patch of discolouration on the belt, neither visible in wear. (See photos). The leather belt buckle shows normal wear and tear. No other stains or tears. All seams intact.

No buttons are missing or damaged. Storm flap is intact. The cuffs have been  professionally turned as they were beginning to fray, but look perfect.

It has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
