This is the pattern (Or Plug) that Durkee ocean liner bells were made from.
The mold for each bell was made from this pattern.
Serious collectors, One of a kind.
Every large ship and ocean liner built on the US East Coast carried a bell made from the molds that were made from this pattern.
My company bought the last remaining Durkee Marine warehouse and disposed of the old stock. My brother bought this one and kept it for some 60 + years.
This was used to make the bell for the liner Manhattan among many others.
This piece is 16" high by approx 30" diameter. and weighs 73 pounds.
It's made out of what I think is a duraluminum alloy.
This is NOT a bell and it doesn't even ring well.  More like a thud.
