Victorian MAPPIN & WEBB Silver Plated Glass Biscuit Barrel.

Unusual handle with oats on top.

Measures to barrel rim approx 5 3/4" high

1176g in weight

Sold between 1862 and 1880 from Oxford Street, London.(street numbers changed in 1880).

I contacted Mappin & Webb asking if they had any info,but was too old for any of their records.

They did admire it and say how nice it is.

Lovely piece in great condition with no chips or cracks in glass
