Description
You are bidding on this Antique Solid Wood Dresser. It is in fair condition, and is in need of refinishing and some repairs. It is 38.5" long, 19" deep, and 33.5" tall. I am unsure of the age of the dresser. It is quite old, and most likely dates to the 19th or very early 20th Century. It is made of solid wood, and has a delicate inlay on the drawer fronts. The dresser has floral glass pulls on it that I am sure are not original to the dresser. They are very pretty, are larger in diameter, and are mostly in good condition but some of them have some chips, particularly towards the back where they are touching the wood. The dresser drawers used to have locks in them, but now only have holes in these areas. The dresser has dovetail joints that I believe are English dovetails. The finish on the dresser has a lot of dings, scratches, and water marks. It will most certainly need to be refinished. There are also a lot of tiny little holes around the outside perimeter of the top surface. I am not sure what would have caused these holes. There are places in small areas where there is some veneer loss. There are three casters on the bottom of the dresser, but the fourth caster is missing. There is some damage to the wood on the bottom as well. This is a very old dresser in need of some TLC, but could be cleaned up and be a beautiful old antique piece. It is solid, and could be a beautiful addition to your antique furniture collection. It is a woodworkers dream and would be a great project.
