Set of 2 Antique c. 1900 M.Z. Austria (Moritz Zdekauer) Dessert Plates Pink Roses

This lovely set is of fine white porcelain and has flower style scalloped rims with a fine white embossed line with swirls along the rim. The plates are decorated in the center with a single filigree pink rose with green leaves and light grey leaves on branches around. Garland style and evenly spread you find the same rose pattern surrounding the center at the rim. The decor is slightly different which speaks for hand painted items.

Beautiful!

The plates show the green double headed hawk stamp on their back which was used by Moritz Zdekauer Altrohlau Austria from 1884 to 1909. Porcelain was manufactured in the Altrohlau (Stara Role) pottery already since 1836, started by Augustin Novotny.

You also find incised in the plates back the numbers which we read "096" and "19".

Wonderful addition to any collection! Great for use and display!

The set is in excellent used condition. There is a flee bite on the rim of one plate which you find by very thoroughly inspection. Other than that no chips, no crazing visible. Please check our pictures as they are part of the description.

Weight of the set app. 15.3 oz.. Shipped with USPS.
