Here is a vintage Compact shape, Dessert, or Salad Plate, decorated with the Broadstone pattern, made by Poole Pottery, Dorset England.

The Broadstone pattern, is a honey coloured speckled glaze, with a dark brown line around the edge, the compact shape was designed by Robert Jefferson in the early 1960s, this shape has distinctive ribbed lines on the edges or base and was designed for easy stacking. Note if buying as a replacement that colours did vary slightly within the range over the years of production. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. It is dishwasher & microwave safe.

The plate is 21.5cm in diameter by 2.2cm deep and is in good condition free from crazing, chips, or cracks just a few very light surface marks, commensurate with use and age. On the base is a printed Poole mark and the unpackaged weight is 370 grams.

A nick is a tiny bit of damage smaller than 1mm and a chip is something you can see with the eye; a hairline runs over the surface glazing but not the body of the item and a crack runs through the body of the item, usually weakening its structure.

But we also offer several options for a faster delivery, so if you require the item quicker, just select the Royal Mail 24hr special delivery (Next Day by 1pm) or 1st Class recorded (1 to 2 days) to get it faster from the postage options.
