This is a lovely early bowl, most likely dough it was a dough bowl. I believe the bowl itself dates back to possibly the 16th-17th century. The lovely painting of the woman might have been done late 17th century or early 18th century. The painting is very well done, excuse the light glare on the bowl. There are some age cracks that can been seen on the back clearly, and the front as well. I don't believe it has been glued, I think one crack did not go all the way through and is holding it together. In any case this is a beautiful bowl to display.
It is large almost 17" (16 7/8) in diameter x 4 5/8" deep.
