and a scarf.  The spectator is asked to thread the shoestring through the brass nut and hold tightly to

each end of the shoestring. The magician covers the nut and shoestring with the scarf and

removes a safety pin from his pocket. The pin is displayed and placed under the scarf.  

When the magician removes the scarf from the shoestring the nut is now revealed on the safety pin

and FREE FROM THE SHOESTRING. All parts may be freely examined in the end.
