These drivers include aluminum diaphragms with a CMMD treat, polyurethane surround, neodymium magnet, and fluid cooling that offer high output, low distortion, and maximum humidity resistance. The Control HST also delivers impressive low-frequency performance, thanks to its wall-damped 5-1/4-inch woofer. This driver incorporates a CMMD ceramic metal matrix diaphragm, which offers a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, impressive output, excellent resistance to humidity, and steadfast, long-term durability. The Control HST boasts JBL’s patent-pending Hemispherical Soundfield Technology (HST), which includes a wall-facing woofer, two horizontally splayed tweeters, a bracket for optimal wall placement, and a tapered cabinet that ensures proper loading and dispersion of sound. Thanks to HST, you’ll experience wide, 180° horizontal coverage, enabling you to cover a greater area with fewer speakers. This technology also minimizes primary wall reflections, resulting in a ruler-flat frequency response, plus a super-consistent sound character throughout the entire room.
