A stunning vintage and rare Large Portmeirion Planter or Jardinière decorated with the famous Botanic Garden Snow Drop and Crocus with the Latin names Galanthus and Crocus. 

The beautiful illustrations feature the yellow and blue crocus flowers with beautiful white snow drops. 

Also butterflies and moths around the floral images. 

There are 4 repeating illustrations and each is accompanied by the flower name and Latin name - Galanthus Snow Drop and Crocus Crocus. 

The Portmeirion Botanic Range designs were by Susan Williams-Ellis.

Diameter 17.5 cm, 14 cm High. 

The Crest ID back stamp on the Jardinière says “The Botanic Garden circa 1818, Portmeirion, Susan Williams-Ellis, Made in England, 1972” and “Dishwasher proof, Oven to Table, Freezer & Microwave safe.”

 

The floral Snow Drop and Crocus planter is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, crazing or visible scratches. 

Presents as it has not been used much.
