Truly remarkable piece by the Société du Val d'Osne from by Eugene Frédéric Piat (1827-1903).

The base has a tripod of three beautiful and highly detailed Gilt gold & bronze sphinxes. Each Sphinx is signed.

This is an extremely heavy item.

Size: The base measures about 36"(long) x 36"(deep).

The glass top measures 48"(in diameter) x 30"(high).

Condition: The glass top isn't original to the sphinx base, however it matches beautifully.
