Original late 17th century Hudson Bay Company marked brass trade kettle.  During this time period brass kettles were finished and stiffened around the top edge with a flat iron band riveted with copper to the kettle and incorporating the two ears for the iron carrying bail.  This authentic example is in very good condition for its age.  Complete and solid measuring overall approximately 17 1/2" wide by 12 3/4" tall.  The outside appears to have been polished at some point.  Inside is clean and untouched. Great overall look and presence.
