Eine herausragende Veröffentlichung von The Macallan. Dieser unglaublich
seltene und sehr begehrte Single Malt wurde dreifach in einer
Kombination aus Sherry-gereiften spanischen Eichenfässern,
Sherry-gereiften amerikanischen Eichenfässern und Bourbon-gereiften
amerikanischen Eichenfässern gereift. Das Ergebnis ist ein üppig glatter
und atemberaubend komplizierter Ausdruck.
Die Nase ist
reichhaltig und markant, mit Noten von Honig und Passionsfrucht. Der
Gaumen ist ebenso reichhaltig, mit Aromen von Weihnachtskuchen und süßer
Orangenschale, die über die Zunge tanzen. Dieser mündet in den langen
und leicht rauchigen Abgang.
Aroma: Intensive Noten von getrockneten Früchte wie Aprikosen und Äpfeln. Dazu Gewürze wie Muskat und Zimt
Geschmack: Würzig und cremig auf der Zunge. Mit der Süße von Milchschokolade und
reifen Bananen sowie Orangen. Dahinter Vanille, Eichentöne und etwas
Holzkohle.
Finish: Langanhaltend und wärmend, dominiert durch Vanille, Karamell und Getreide.

An outstanding release from The Macallan. This incredibly rare and highly sought after single malt has been triple aged in a combination of sherry-aged Spanish oak barrels, sherry-aged American oak barrels and bourbon-aged American oak barrels. The result is a sumptuously smooth and breathtakingly intricate expression.
The nose is rich and distinctive, with notes of honey and passion fruit. The palate is equally rich, with flavors of Christmas cake and sweet orange peel dancing across the tongue. This leads to the long and slightly smoky finish.
Aroma: Intense notes of dried fruits such as apricots and apples. Plus spices like nutmeg and cinnamon
Taste: Spicy and creamy on the tongue. With the sweetness of milk chocolate and ripe bananas and oranges. Behind it vanilla, oak tones and some charcoal.
Finish: Long-lasting and warming, dominated by vanilla, caramel and grain.
