These retired figures were produced from the original Ideal molds in the 1980s. This lot features one complete 12-piece set of 8 foot and mounted figures, 2 horses and 2 jousting lances.
These models are based on pose designs from the Hal Foster Prince Valiant comic strip and the 1954
movie starring Robert Wagner, Janet Leigh, Sterling Hayden and James
Mason. The set includes the character figures of Prince Valiant, King Arthur, Princess
Aleta, Sir Gawaine and mounted Prince Arne, plus 2 other foot and 1
additional mounted pose, 2 medieval war horses in 2 poses and 2 jousting lances.
This
range has been out of production for nearly 20 years, but the figures are in pristine mint condition. They have been stored in our smoke-free, climate-controlled warehouse since they were initially purchased from the manufacturer in the 1980s.
