This Birthday greeting card dates to the period of WWII and features the "Chummy" dog character dressed as a soldier on the front and on the inside.  References are made in the greetings to censorship and the "blue pencil" which was a term for censorship.   The publisher is Valentine's.   The card measures 14.1cm x 11.4cm and opens out to a little under double the width.   No envelope.  Nice piece of WWII memorabilia.

The card is in a very good condition.    General edge, fold end and corner rubs, light bends and creases at rear corners, tiny creases at front corners, light rubbing and light brown spotting along spine, some light brown spotting and the odd tiny mark and fleck to front panel, some small brown marks and some very small and tiny marks and flecks to rear panel, written greeting, some small, very light brown marks, and the odd tiny mark and fleck to inside of card, the odd tiny bump to edges.   Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.

Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote. I always refund any excess postage charges.
