A tracing map of the Village of Greenfield Massachusetts in 1852. This is a very nicely lettered copy of the 1852 "Presdee and Edwards" map of the city, the first such detailed map every published.  The tracing is on light tissue paper and has some damage as seen. There is one fold.   But it is a very nicely lettered document, flaws notwithstanding.  The text is sharper and more legible than on the original map.  See comparison pics attached. I think this tracing was done about 1930, so that the surveyor who drew it could make duplicate blueprints. There were no xerox machines than! Date is a guess based on many similar tracings in the files of F Deane very Associates, a land surveying firm in Greenfield Massachusstts.
