"The Paradiso of Dante Alighieri" and "The Inferno of Dante Alighieri" reprinted in 1932.  Overall I would say these are in acceptable to good condition.  Beautifully illuminated title pages. The gilt title and design on the spines are still bright.  Embossed owl on the front covers.  Paper is thin and delicate.  All pages are present and attached in both volumes.  Gilt top edge is clean and bright.  Deckled fore-edge on both volumes and rough cut pages along the bottom edges.  The thin boards show light shelf wear with bumped corners.  A few slightly bent corners.  Edgewear at top and bottom of spines.  The pages are clean but discolored with age.

Light brown square stain on front endpaper of "The Inferno" and on the title page of "Paradisio."

"The Inferno": The front cover has begun to detach.
"The Paradisio": The title page is protected with brown tissue paper.  Tissue paper is torn along at top of gutter.  The lower left corners of pages 330-358 are bent (see the last photo).
