Jon Lester played in Major League Baseball most notably for the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs, was a 5-time Allstar and 3-time World Series Champion. Less than two years after being diagnosed with lymphoma, Lester started and won the final game of the 2007 World Series for the Red Sox and, in May 2008, pitched a no-hitter against the Kansas City Royals. He helped lead the Red Sox to another World Series in 2013, and he won the 2016 World Series with the Cubs. Lester started the opening game of a playoff series 12 times, which was a record for the most in baseball history.. 

Very Good condition hardback issue with integral binding, tight text and clean pages, with no must or mildew or missing pieces. Between page 2 and 3 the interior binding is visible, and the spring supplement is fit in to the end of the text creating a small toggle. Clean and Solid.

Great rarity for a collector of baseball showing the early life and times of one of the game's great pitchers.
