[Found in a rural southern New Hampshire antique estate in an old center chimney cape farmhouse. This incredible early to mid-18th century American folk art, New England primitive antique, hand decorated, painted small dome-top glove/document pine box is estate fresh & in absolutely, 100% untouched, original antique condition, featuring first generation paint & all original decorated surfaces. It also still has its front key hardware assembly, key escutcheon & cut key cover. Interestingly, the box has early wire rear hinges, holding the dome-top lid to the rear box sidewall wooden panel & a nearly undisturbed & intact lid wire pull. In dry, matte painted finish, with a dry, unpainted pine wood baseplate & unpainted, dry pine interior. An incredible early New England primitive artifact from the colonial period, unadulterated & unbastardized. A simply amazing object, now approaching 300 years in age. Magnificent. Untouched. Very fine.]
