Gorgeous estate 18K yellow gold earrings with natural ruby cabochon heart stones. The ruby hearts are 7mm and set in bezel with gold bead dots around frame and a crown shape on top. They are marked 18K on the backs.
THESE VINTAGE EARRINGS WERE ORIGINALLY CLIP ONS, and the original owner had them jeweler converted to leverbacks. You would never notice, expertly done with highest skill, except that the leverbacks are signed 14K SMC. They are NOT original to the earrings, but I think the only way anyone would ever know is because of difference in the marks and the karat of the gold.
The pair weighs 10.53 grams, and the majority of the weight is in the 18K ruby heart fronts of earrings, and much lesser weight in the 14K leverbacks.
