Bob Dylan took inspiration from the people and places he encountered along the way. He represents one of the most influential cultural icons of our era. NoIn recent decades, he has increasingly put aside his guitar in favor of the brush and pencil, actively pursuing his passion for the visual arts. On November 30, 2021, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University hosted a major retrospective of Dylan's visual art. Retrospectrum spans six decades of his drawing, painting and sculpture and was first exhibited at the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai (2019).
Dylan tends to work in series, often switching from one artistic style to another. The artist created landscapes , nostalgic scenes of America along Route 66 , illustrations based on his texts and colorful representations of cities from around the world.
