It is found in all manner of metals, including sterling, plate, coin, and nickle silver. Offered here is 2 servers in Olive. The servers offered here and their approximate measurements are as follows: fish serving knife about 10 3/4", and cake saw about 11 1/2". These are not new pieces of silver. Very little is available about the maker, Bristol Plate. The style and the decoration on the blades suggests c1870. There is patina consistent with age and reasonable use. Both pieces appear to have a stamped decoration that is enhanced with hand engraved details.There is no monogram. There are some specks of plate loss on thee back of the blade and the handle of the cake saw, visible on close inspection, and consistent with age and reasonable use. There is similar wear on the handle of the fish knife, as well as some light rest wear on the back of the blade. The pattern and the decorations are sharp and distinct.
