Cornet C.G. Conn model "Perfected Wonder in Bb and A" Low Pitch and High Pitch from 1906 totally original in amazing condition for the age of the instrument, serial number 99789, all serials match on valves and on cornet.
The cornet is like new, only very light marks present here and there due to the various transports suffered by the instrument including a scratch on the bell and a tiny ding on it, a dent on the bell bow has been worked on and is practically invisible.
Finishing "quadruple silver-plated, sand blast velvet finish, inside bell heavily gold-plated" as reported on "1906 C.G. Conn's Truth vol. VI No. 4 pag. 10" almost intact on the whole instrument body.
The original case is also in astonishing condition, both internally and externally, given the almost 120 years of life. It has only a small detachment of the internal yellow organza band, the purple lining has a tear between the two joints and the external right safety latch that does not close.
Mechanically perfect: amazing compression, the valves have yet to be broken in (they have not been replated or redone) the slides move beautifully, there are no traces of rust on the instrument or on the valves. Light lubricant for valves is recommended like Hetman or JM I or II, thicker lubricants should be avoided.
The cornet comes with its original Conn "Courtois Model" mouthpiece, original music holder, wiper and with the second tuning slide for the high pitch, also original and in perfect working order.
The instrument has been completely overhauled by a primary Italian repairman.

Cornetta C.G. Conn modello "Perfected Wonder in Bb e A" Low Pitch ed High Pitch del 1906 totalmente originale in condizione strepitosa per l'età dello strumento, matricola 99789, i seriali sui pistoni corrispondono a quello sul corpo strumento.
La cornetta è come nuova, solo leggerissimi segni presenti qui e lì dovuti ai vari trasporti subiti dallo strumento tra cui un graffio sulla campana ed un minuscolo ding sulla stessa, una botta presente sulla curva della campana è stata lavorata e risulta praticamente invisibile.
Finitura "quadruple silver-plated, sand blast velvet finish, inside bell heavily gold-plated" come riportato su "1906 C.G. Conn's Truth vol. VI No. 4 pag. 10" pressoché intatta su tutto il corpo strumento.
La custodia, originale, è anch'essa in condizioni stupefacenti, sia internamente che esternamente, visti i quasi 120 anni di vita. Presenta solo un piccolo distacco della fascia di organza gialla interna, la fodera viola ha uno strappo tra le due cerniere ed il gancio di sicurezza destro esterno che non chiude.
Meccanicamente perfetta: compressione incredibile, i pistoni devono ancora compiere il rodaggio (non sono stati riplaccati o rifatti) le slide scorrono a meraviglia, non sono presenti tracce di ruggine alcuna sullo strumento e sui pistoni. Si consiglia lubrificante per i pistoni leggero tipo JM o Hetman I o II, sconsigliati lubrificanti più densi come quelli specifici per strumenti vintage.
La cornetta è corredata dal suo bocchino originale Conn "Courtois Model", dal letturino originale, dello scovolo e dalla seconda pompa di accordo anch'essa originale e perfettamente funzionate.
Lo strumento è stato interamente revisionato da primario riparatore italiano.
